Therapeutic Coaching for me can be likened to someone drawing back the curtains in a dark room. This type of therapy helped me enormously in my recovery from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and since then anxiety-related issues. This integrative therapy is gentle, non-intrusive and allowed me to uncover the psychological patterns I had that contributed to my deterioration in health. This type of therapy opens itself up to digging deep whilst feeling supported and safe.
There are many of us that find it difficult to start our therapeutic journey because we are perhaps too afraid of what we may uncover. Over the years we’ve developed the skill to lock away and suppress our ‘demons’, like locking a dragon in its cave. Yet what if that dragon was just like the character from the movie Shrek, misunderstood and just in search of love and nurture? It is often the things that we hide away the most, that have the most to say.
